FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY SHOULD WE CARE?
Is it safe to drink tap water?
In the United States, municipal tap water is treated under the Safe Drinking Water Act and regulated by the EPA with strict primary standards for health (e.g., pathogens, toxic chemicals) and secondary standards for aesthetics (taste, odor, color). That said, even treated water can contain trace chlorine, organic by-products, and micro-contaminants. Waterlift Eco offers an extra layer of protection by removing 99.9% of these remaining impurities, ensuring you enjoy water that’s as safe – and often safer – than bottled alternatives.
What happens to the water when I use your filter?
Shipping cost is based on weight. Just add products to your cart and use the Shipping Calculator to see the shipping price. When tap water flows through Waterlift Eco, it passes first through a food-grade housing into an activated carbon bed. Here, over 1,200 m² of microporous surface traps chlorine, chloramine, volatile organics, and more – down to 0.01 μm particles. Simultaneously, an ion-exchange layer converts calcium and magnesium into a non-calcifying form, so you get crisp water with no scale buildup.
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. Items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery.
I've heard about ‘hard water’ and ‘soft water’. What's the difference?
Hard water contains high levels of calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions, which can form scale and react with soap to leave residue. Soft water has these ions removed, usually via ion-exchange, replacing them with sodium or potassium. Waterlift Eco strikes a balance by using ion-exchange to transform hardness minerals into a non-calcifying form, so you retain essential minerals for taste while preventing limescale.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
How do you filter out the chemicals? Is this like a Brita?
Similar in principle to leading brands, Waterlift Eco uses activated carbon adsorption and ion-exchange resin – but with higher-grade materials and optimized pore structure. Like Brita, it adsorbs chlorine, pesticides, and solvents via Van der Waals forces, but Waterlift’s ultra-porous carbon and enhanced resin achieve 99.9% reduction versus typical ~95% benchmarks.
Will tap filter affect my water pressure?
No, the Waterlift Eco will not affect your water pressure. We have designed two modes: one for filtering and one for non-filtering. When you need strong water pressure, switch to the non-filtering mode. When you want clean water, simply switch to the filtration mode.
What's in the filter?
Inside the filter, you will find a cartridge made of High-grade activated carbon (food-grade, BPA-free) for adsorption of contaminants, Ion-exchange resin for non-calcifying hardness control, and seal gaskets to ensure no bypass.
How did you test that this works?
Every batch of our filters and cartridges is quality tested by independent companies before we sell them. We adhere to strict quality standards, and institutions confirm the unique properties of our cartridge.
Why doesn’t the TDS value decrease after filtering?
TDS measures all dissolved ions – including beneficial minerals – so a minimal drop is normal with activated-carbon filtration, which does not remove most dissolved salts. Waterlift Eco is designed to target harmful contaminants (chlorine, organics, micro-particles) while preserving healthy minerals, resulting in great taste without drastic TDS reduction.
How often should I replace the cartridge?
Each Waterlift cartridge is designed to filter approximately 500 liters of tap water, which typically covers 1 to 3 months of daily use for a household of 2-3 people. For optimal performance, we recommend replacing the cartridge every 30-90 days, depending on your water quality and usage.
Why is it important to use original cartridges?
Using original cartridges is crucial because they are specifically designed to maximize the efficiency and performance of your Waterlift Eco filter. These cartridges ensure optimal filtration while maintaining the highest standards of water quality and safety. Additionally, using genuine cartridges helps prevent potential issues and prolongs the lifespan of your filter system.
What is the filter capacity in liters per minute?
Waterlift Eco can filter ≥0.5 liters of water per minute.
